Because many reviews are biased/subjective, I think students can get a better idea of the class if they can message or PM the reviewer for more information. For privacy purposes, we can have the "allow other students to contact me for more information through messaging" based on the user's consent in their privacy/account settings

These are Arts Administrations courses with some taught by George Sampson. They are also cross listed under the Architecture school in UVA's SIS, however some people may not know to look for them there. Every semester there is one advanced course and one intro course.

find a new administrator who actually has time to update the site.

We have the grades but we have to make some tweaks to the site before we can add them. The Fall 09 grades use the new 4-digit class numbering system so we have to update all the class numbers before adding the grades. This is our top priority on the site right now so expect to see this completed in the next week.

I was looking thorough courses and I noticed that most courses show grade distributions. However, to view many of these grade distributions it was required that you write at least 2 course reviews before you can see grade distributions. I find this feature to be ridiculous, because it prevents first years (or anyone in their 1st semester at UVA) from viewing the grade distributions of classes unless they submit a false review.

All first years should be able to view grade distributions during their first semester without writing any reviews. If first years aren't able to view all grades, that's a bug and should be mentioned as a separate feedback suggestion.

In regards to our policy of requiring users to write 2 reviews each semester, we do this to encourage students to keep writing reviews. Overall, there's been a very positive response to this and only minimal complaints. If many others feel the policy should change, please vote up this suggestion and we'll consider changing the policy.

Basically, for every rating, let people rate whether it's a good rating or not. Then have the highest rated rating highlighted in yellow or something so it's easy to find. Also, you can sort by rating so it's easier to find the good ratings. In order to rate, you must be registered.

I find the difficulty hard to understand here. If a class is difficult, some people think the difficulty score should be 0 because they dislike difficulty and rate the class lower on this basis. Just change the word to Easiness or something like that to make it clear, thanks.

Add a search bar on subpages to make searching faster. It takes time and is annoying to have to go back to the main page to search for courses. If you add a search bar in the header or on a sidebar in the subpages it would make the site much more efficient for users.

I find the info on the grade distribution graphs very helpful. But I think the multi-colored pie chart distracts from the crisp, clean look and feel you have going at theCourseForum. Any chance you could update the graphs to achieve a more uniform design?
